A community is defined by how well it cares for its members. The individuals that make up our organization are some of the best when it comes to helping out a neighbor in need or chipping in for a local good cause.
Operation Round Up is an easy and convenient way to give back and help out someone who is struggling. By rounding up your bill to the nearest whole dollar amount, you can join with other community-minded members who want to make a difference.
Each month, the members who participate allow the coop to automatically round up their electric bill to the next highest dollar. For example, if a member's bill is $61.75, the bill would roll up to $62. The extra 25 cents would be moved to the Operation Round Up Fund. You can also set up a fixed amount to be added to your statement each month if you prefer.
Funds can not be used to pay delinquent bills, be used in anyway to support or oppose any political candidate, or for religious activities. There are other charitable services and organizations out there to provide support toward such needs.
Enrolment is easy. Fill out the online form or call the office if you are having troubles. Join the many other members that have already signed up. With your contribution you can help us make a difference in the community!
The Wheatland REA Board will review applications and decide where to donate the funds. Community service projects, education, medical equipment, food, clothing, the possibilities are vast and varied. Got a request? Funding applications for an individual or group may be printed below and returned to the office.
Just a few cents each month can really add up to a significant amount when we all work together!
